Go For a Ride Day falls on November 22 and we believe the best place to enjoy the day is along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway. Whether that means going for a drive in your car, riding your bike, hopping on a skateboard, lacing up your roller skates or launching your canoe, all are possible along the byway.

Alabama’s Coastal Connection includes many highways, paths, parks and waters to explore as you take in the beauty of the area. Pack a lunch and head to the trails of Gulf State Park for a leisurely bike ride plus a picnic under the trees or on the white-sand beach. Another popular place for a bike, hike or roller skate tour is the Eastern Shore Trail.

Is the water demanding your attention? If so, Graham Creek Nature Preserve may answer that call. Take your canoe or kayak and paddle your way into Wolf Bay.

Being self-propelled may be a little slower than the experience you have in mind. Let the go-karts at The Track in Gulf Shores provide the horsepower to kick up your adrenaline.

To be perfectly honest, there is no need for an exact plan or destination. Just follow the sun and have some fun! But Go For a Ride Day provides a great excuse to experience Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway, so visit our attractions page to decide how to spend your day.
