Summertime is full of family-friendly outdoor events along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway. We have a sampling here to get you started:

  • Arts of Dauphin Island hosts the Sunday Open Air Markets on the third Sunday of each month, from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Music Under the Marlins at The Wharf happens every Sunday through August 8 from 4 to 7 p.m. Unwind and enjoy live music plus free entertainment for kids, such as a stilt walker, balloon artist and juggler. Check out The Wharf’s website  for even more summer evening fun, including Sparks After Dark, a fireworks shows every Monday night.
  • The Dauphin Island Sunday Sunset Concerts ($5 per person admission, 12 and under free) begin approximately 90 minutes before sunset. Check out the monthly schedule and mark them all on your calendar.
  • Wonder in downtown OWA weaves the four elements – water, air, earth and fire – into complimentary nightly performances at 6:30 and 8 p.m. (Blackout nights are Tuesdays.)
