Festival season is in full swing along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway. When summer tourist season ends, fall festivals take over the parks and streets of communities along the byway.
Now is a good time to plan a coastal trip, or two, for fun at your favorite festival.
Here is a rundown of a few events to get your list started:
- October 11-31, 2021 – Scarecrows in the Gardens. One-of-a-kind scarecrows built by local students, clubs, businesses and individuals are on display at Bellingrath Gardens and Home.
- October 16-17, 2021 – Jubilee Festival of Arts. This annual event features art, music and local cuisine dished out when a large helping of Southern charm. The location is Lott Park on Main Street in Olde Towne Daphne.
- October 30, 2021 – The Original German Sausage Festival. More than 200 arts and crafts booth, music and the famous Elberta Fire Department’s German sausage take over Elberta’s Town Park for a fun day.
