halloweenIf you’re looking for some spooky October fun, Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway has a few family-friendly events just for you.  

  • Park After Dark: The Halloween-themed weekends at The Park at OWA include trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a special hay maze and some not-too-scary, silly spooks behind the gates.  
  • Boo at Bellingrath: Bellingrath Gardens and Home’s annual Halloween fun day is October 23. Trick-or-treating is from 3 to 6 p.m. and the movie “Hocus Pocus” will be shown on the Great Lawn from 7 to 9 p.m.  
  • Foley’s Hometown Halloween: Ghosts and goblins take over the streets in downtown Foley on October 28, 5:30 to 8 p.m., compliments of the downtown merchants. Highlights include a costume contest, bounce houses, hayrides and booths with treats and prizes.
