The view along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway is always spectacular. It’s even more so when you share it with your sweetheart. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we want to suggest some of our favorite romantic places along the byway.
- Anywhere along the beach at sunrise or sunset puts you in a romantic setting. During the winter months, the sun rises and sets over the Gulf of Mexico, creating amazing reflections on the water.
- A stroll, hand in hand, through Bellingrath Gardens and Home is always a romantic outing. In February, blooms include camellias, daffodils, hyacinths, ornamental kale and cabbages, pansies, parsley, saucer magnolia, Swiss chard, Taiwan cherries, tulips and violas.
- A romantic Valentine’s weekend at the beach is easy when you choose one of the many gulf-front hotels or condominiums.
- After a day of exploring, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, the Eastern Shore and Foley provide plenty of choices for a romantic meal with your love.
