Leave the daily grind behind and immerse yourself in 500 acres of natural beauty at Graham Creek Nature Preserve. Explore the local wildlife and nature in this family-friendly attraction that offers observe-and-explore events for young explorers.
Observe and Explore Days are free events for elementary-age learners accompanied by parents. These themed lessons are nature-focused, based on concepts such as falling leaves and Earth Day.
The program is held on the third Saturday and the preceding Wednesday of each month.
The typical format of each O&E class begins with a story at 10 a.m., followed by a short lesson accompanied by activity or experiment. A related craft activity closes out the program around 11:30 a.m.
Check out Graham Creek Nature Preserve’s Facebook page for upcoming events, where all preserve events, including O&E days, are posted.
