EASTERN SHORE TRAIL

EASTERN SHORE TRAIL

One of the great stops along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway is the Eastern Shore Trail. This trail will help you get outside and stay active, as you can walk, run or bike along the east side of Mobile Bay from Spanish Fort to Weeks Bay.

While following the 22-mile trail, you will have the opportunity to not only take in nature.  But explore the towns along the way: Daphne, Montrose, Fairhope, Battles Wharf, and Point Clear.

Mostly concrete or asphalt, the Eastern Shore Trail also features some elevated boardwalks and high-rise bridges to cross. You’ll find nature trails at several points throughout the route, one of which is Weeks Bay, which has trails of its own within 6,000 acres of the natural landscape.

Extend your outdoor time by stopping to swim, fish or picnic. Stay active or take plenty of breaks to relax in the sunshine. Cover the entire trail in one day or relish it in small bits over several visits. There’s no wrong way to enjoy your time here.

We hope to see you soon, creating new experiences with family and friends on the Eastern Shore Trail!
