If you are visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast in September, October or November, get ready for some amazing fishing. Whether alone or with a group, you may want to charter a boat and head out for deep sea fishing that will allow you to stock up your freezer for winter months.  Set your sights on grouper, amberjack, white marlin, wahoo and yellowfin tuna.

Looking for a less time-consuming experience closer to land? Make Perdido Pass in Orange Beach or Dixie Bar in Fort Morgan your place to catch delicious redfish. You can even get in on speckled trout found along piers.

October is a great time to reel in flounder, and Spanish mackerel is making its way closer to shore. Patience and a keen eye may bring both of those into your cooler.

Beginning in November, sheepshead starts to become a plentiful catch, and mullet can be caught with a net off a pier or boat. Oysters are also at their thickest and juiciest come November, making them a treat not to be missed when in the area.
