Special meals, great deals and a chance to commune with creation all make Easter on the Alabama Gulf Coast memorable.

On Saturday, April 19, join the Easter Bunny for breakfast and an egg hunt from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Erie Meyer Civic Center.

Easter Sunday starts early at The Hangout with a Sunrise Easter Service at 6:30 a.m., sponsored by the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church, followed by an all-you-can-eat family style Easter breakfast from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., the Easter Bunny arrives for photos and at noon, the “Island’s Largest Easter Egg Hunt” gets under way. Hang around from 1 to 3 p.m. for contests and games, including the Best Bunny Costume Contest for kids. On Easter Eve, April 19, The Hangout will have an Adult Easter Egg Hunt. The Beach Club has an action-packed Easter Sunday. From 8 to 9 a.m., there will be a nondenominational Easter church service on the beach. Then, Chef Brody Olive will serve a special Easter Sunday brunch buffet. From noon to 1 p.m. on the Village lawn, there will be an Easter EGGstravaganza. Have your photo taken with the Easter bunny, see baby animals in the petting zoo and enjoy Easter games, train rides and live music by This Side of 49. The Egg Dash will begin promptly at 1 p.m. Children will be divided into age groups so that everyone has an equal chance to find eggs. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Easter Sunday, the Perdido Beach Resort will have its Classic Easter Buffet with traditional favorites such as steamship round, assorted salads and pasta dishes and entrees such as grilled pork loin, chicken coq au vin and blackened spiced red fish with lemon caper au jus. The Easter Bunny will be at the buffet and an Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 12:30 p.m. Diners may choose between Voyagers Restaurant, the Grand Ballroom or private dining rooms.
