Are you ready for the season to change, to see all the blooming colors, and to have the temperatures rise? There is much to enjoy about spring along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway!

Take in the spring colors at Bellingrath Gardens and Home, where more than 250,000 azaleas will bloom in an explosion of color. If you can’t make it to Bellingrath, you can stay up to speed with the Azalea Bloom Out online.

Bask in the spring by hiking one of the many trails along the scenic byway. Listen to the birds singing as you spot the native critters and check out the buds and new plant growth. Bring a book and relax on the benches to enjoy the spring air.

As the weather begins to warm up, get outside! Go for a picnic on the beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach or at Gulf State Park. Take a hike in Graham Creek Nature Preserve or Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Bike down the Eastern Shore Trail or the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail.
