Calling all boating and fishing enthusiasts! Come aboard The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show March 27 to 30 in Orange Beach. This four-day event includes more than 375 boats: 125 in-water vessels and 250-plus boats displayed on land. Show organizers expect more than $90 million in boats and marine products will be display this year, making it one everyone can enjoy, from boating newcomers to seasoned enthusiasts.
Join the fun from 2 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Stars Over Alabama VIP Red Carpet Preview Event. The show continues Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Marine artist Larry Rackley will be on hand during the show conducting children’s art classes. Saturday’s highlights include a professionally produced Lucca Fashion Show with models sporting the latest fashion trends.
In addition to a vast array of new boats, there are also pre-owned boats for sale. In 2013, boat dealers reported $13 million in boat sales during the four-day event. Besides boats, there will also be personal watercraft, outboard and inboard engines, fishing equipment and electronics.
Live music, exhibitor displays, instructional seminars and a host of great places to eat are just some of the reasons so many people come to The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show each year. Don’t forget to take a turn on the Ferris wheel, too, the tallest one in the southeast, for a bird’s eye view of our piece of paradise.
