The mission of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is to ensure the well-being of nationally endangered and vulnerable species, to conserve the beach/dune ecosystem which is home to a variety of wildlife, to serve as a living laboratory for students, and to provide wildlife recreational opportunities for nature enthusiasts. This would not be possible without the selfess act from volunteers who have poured their energy into helping conserve our natural environment.
National wildlife refuges provide a variety of opportunities for those who wish to be involved in the community and help protect vulnerable wildlife and habitats.
