  • Baldwin County Heritage Museum is a nonprofit organization in Elberta. Their mission is “to preserve the culture of early Baldwin County farm communities through the creation of a home for historically significant buildings, documents, and artifacts from community life.”
  • The Foley Railroad Museum and Model Train Exhibit are housed in downtown Foley’s old Louisville and Nashville railroad station. Even if you aren’t a train enthusiast, the 60×20-foot “O” gauge model train exhibit is entertaining for the whole family.
  • Fairhope Museum of History resides in a Spanish mission-style building constructed in 1928. Previously serving as City Hall, the museum now features permanent exhibits highlighting Fairhope’s unique history and a variety of changing exhibitions.
  • The Gulf Shores Museum is a pre-World War II beach house donated to the city after Hurricane Frederic in 1979. Explore permanent exhibits plus traveling and seasonal exhibits in the heart of Gulf Shores.
  • Old Methodist Church Museum of Daphne, featuring the original pews and chandelier, is the second oldest church building in Baldwin County and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Reservations are required for tours.
  • Orange Beach Indian and Sea Museum, housed in a 1910 schoolhouse, includes photos, memorabilia, and artifacts about the area’s Native American culture, regional fishing, and maritime history.
  • The Holmes Medical Museum in Foley is located in the first hospital in South Baldwin County. Most of the items displayed are the original equipment used between 1936 and 1958 when the museum was an operational hospital.
