Easy public beach access makes getting to the festivities convenient. Many access points have bathrooms and some offer outdoor showers for removing sand and salt before you return to your car. The public beach access at the end of Alabama Highway 59 in Gulf Shores features two public pavilions, charcoal grills and picnic areas. The cost to park is $5 per day. The Gulf State Park with its covered pavilion, air-conditioned restrooms, private showers, picnic tables, snack bar and plenty of shady spots to sit and eat offers another option for beach goers. All-day admission to the park is $6 for cars and $12 for RVs.
Orange Beach boasts three public beach access points, all with free parking and two of which have bathrooms and outdoor showers. You can continue your Independence Day celebration with an annual party at Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, complete with live music, food and fireworks. The event is July 5 and tickets are required.
