Take a ride on Mobile Bay Ferry
A scenic cruise across the bay offers a unique way to spot marine life, birds and ships as you travel across. The ferry ride takes about 40 minutes and welcomes vehicles as well as pedestrians.
Explore Fort Gaines and Fort Morgan
If you are planning on riding the ferry, you can easily fit these two forts into your itinerary. Located on opposite sides of the bay, the sites encourage visitors to experience living history firsthand. Soldiers at Fort Gaines and Fort Morgan served a crucial role in the Battle of Mobile Bay.
Adventure at Graham Creek Nature Preserve
Whether you want to hike, practice archery, birdwatch, kayak, learn, or just become immersed in nature, the preserve is a must on your to-do list. Graham Creek sits on 500 acres and offers multiple recreational activities and educational programs. Take a hike on one of the rustic trails and see what wildlife you can spot along the way.
Cast a line from the Gulf State Park Fishing and Education Pier
There is something special about fishing straight from a pier. Enjoy the scenic view as you practice your angling skills. Fishing licenses and sightseeing permits are sold right on site, and a tackle shop on the pier means you don’t have to worry about preparing ahead of time.
