Ring in the new year along Alabama’s Coastal Connection Scenic Byway. Filled with many events to celebrate the upcoming year – from family-friendly gatherings to adult parties – you are sure to find something along the byway.
The multitude of choices can get overwhelming, so we have highlighted a few events to get you started.
Bring the littles to LuLu’s in Gulf Shores from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on New Year’s Eve day to ring in 2023. The main feature is the beach ball drop at noon, but the day will be filled with kid-friendly activities, including sand castle building and an inflatable slide.
Say goodbye to 2022 at The Wharf’s annual Confetti Drop. Starting at 10 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, the whole family will enjoy activities such as a bounce house, rock wall, reptile encounters, a poodle show and more. Cannons filled with confetti will go off at noon so kids can celebrate without staying up until midnight.
Reelin’ In the New Year at The Wharf
Fun for everyone begins at 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and wraps up at midnight with fireworks and the marlin drop. The night will be filled with family-friendly activities and adult fun.
Flora-Bama Annual New Year’s Eve Bash
For those 21 and over who are looking for a place to bid farewell to 2022, Flora-Bama may be what you’re looking for. With a ticket, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet from 6-11 p.m, a breakfast buffet starting at midnight, a FREE champagne split, live music, and more. Raise a toast to 2023 with champagne at midnight!
