Summer doesn’t mean the learning has to stop for kids. It just means their education comes through fun activities outside the school walls.

One popular way to accomplish this is by attending Discovery Hall Programs through Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Look at the variety of summer camp opportunities for the kids to enjoy.

Day Camps

  • Oceans Alive: See, touch, and learn about Alabama’s marine life. (5-8 years)
  • BIO Blitz: Explore the habitats of Dauphin Island. (8-10 years)
  • Ocean Bytes: Use the same tools scientists use to study the ocean. (9-11 years)
  • Survivor Dauphin Island: Learn all about fish and fishing. (10-13 years)

  • Barrier Island Explorer: Explore firsthand the wonders of the Gulf Coast. (5th-6th graders)
  • Marine detectives: Learn how to build a robot and discover other marine technology. (7th-8th graders)
  • Gulf Island Journey: Check out the coast’s environment through onsite activities. (7th-9th graders)
  • Bay Voyager: Kayak, seine, and enjoy other hands-on activities in this weeklong outdoor program. (9th-12th graders)
  • Coastal Fisheries Camp: Introducing high school students to various parts of the marine environment through hands-on activities and field experiences.
