There’s another side to the holiday season that brings its own pomp and circumstance: College Bowl Season. That season is alive and well on the Alabama Gulf Coast, where SEC families come to play. Whether you choose to watch the big game from your condo or at one of the many sports bars and restaurants, your options are plentiful.

Bowl games begin as early as Dec. 21 with the Pac 12 and the Mountain West Conference games and culminate with the BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 6 when Auburn and Florida State go head-to-head. In between those dates are games like the Outback Bowl, Capital One Bowl and Rose Bowl, all on Jan. 1. The Sugar Bowl will kick off on Jan. 2, followed by the Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl on Jan. 3.

With all this gridiron action on the field, score big with your home team when you schedule in some downtime at the beach to relax and watch your favorite teams go head-to-head on television. In between games, have your own game of sand football on Alabama’s white-sand beaches.

There are great deals to be had on Gulf Shores & Orange Beach vacation rentals in December and January. No matter if your team requires a fully equipped beach house or a beachside hotel room, the Alabama Gulf Coast has more than 15,000 rooms to choose from! Come show your colors and cheer on your team at the beach this bowl season.
