Don’t forget to add the Gulf Coast’s newest attraction to your list of things to do. Opening in March 2013, The Adventure Center at the Gulf State Park will feature the Hummingbird Zipline. Get your adrenaline pumping as you soar over Lake Shelby and get a bird’s eye view of the state park. Seven towers and six ziplines make up the outdoor adventure. Four of the lines traverse over the waters of Lake Shelby. The sixth zipline will be a dual cable, allowing you to race a friend to the finish line! In addition to the zipline, The Adventure Center will also offer kayaks and paddle boards for rent.
