If you are visiting here in August and want a fun thing to with the kids, consider taking them to see The Jungle Book Kids performed live at the South Baldwin Community Theater.
The Jungle Book, as interpreted by Disney, brings to life Rudyard Kipling’s stories of a young “man cub” Mowgli, raised by the inhabitants of the dense rainforest jungles of India – wolves and Baloo the bear. The Jungle Book Kids features all the familiar Disney songs, like “Bare Necessities” and “I Wan’na to be Like You.”
Proceeds from this musical will be used to fund the South Baldwin Community Theatre Scholarship. While rehearsing for the show, the young cast had the opportunity to visit the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo to see how the real animals move and behave. As a result, the cast of The Jungle Book Kids is doing a fundraiser, in conjunction with its show, to raise money for the zoo.
