Need a little inspiration to get you into the holiday spirit? Alabama’s Coastal Connection has just the right mix of activities guaranteed to put some holly jolly cheer in your heart.

Gulf Coast holiday eventsCome on over to Bellingrath Gardens and Home for its Magic Christmas in Lights from 5 to 9 p.m. each day through New Year’s Eve. Approximately 3 million bulbs illuminate 1,100 set pieces. Named one of the best light displays in America, this annual show is a must-do tradition. 

Now in its 20th season, the Baldwin Pops has three Christmas concerts planned: Dec. 5 at the Foley Civic Center, Dec. 6 at the Erie Meyer Civic Center in Gulf Shores, and Dec. 13 at the Daphne Civic Center. All concerts start at 7 p.m. and are collection sites for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program. Attendees are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the concerts for local children in need. 

South Baldwin Community Theatre presents “Elf Jr. The Musical” that takes theatre-goers on a trip from the North Pole to New York City with Buddy the Elf. The musical will be presented Dec 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m. SBCT is at 2022 West Second Street, Gulf Shores. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Light up the night at the 31st Annual Christmas Boat Parade Dec. 10. The parade begins at LuLu’s at 5 p.m. and concludes at Cobalt in Orange Beach about 8 p.m.
