First up this year is the 2015 Sweetheart 5k and Half Marathon on February 21, 2015. This event is held at The Hangout in Gulf Shores. With three races and courses, there is something for everyone to choose from. At 7:30 a.m., the Sea Turtle 1/2 Marathon begins, followed by the Sweetheart 5K at 8:30 a.m. and the 1 mile fun run at 9 a.m. The Hangout will host a fun post-race party complete with food and drinks. On March 1, 2015, Gulf Coast Half Marathon Series returns to LuLu’s in Gulf Shores! The restaurant is the start and finish of the race, plus they will host the nearly world famous post-race party. Runners will find spectacular scenery as part of the course offers incredible views of the Gulf of Mexico. Flora-Bama’s Annual Beach Run/Walk for America’s Warriors will hit the sand running on March 28, 2015. Two different runs will take place at this exciting event – a 5k and a half marathon. The start and end point will be at the Flora-Bama Lounge & Oyster Bar. The half marathon runners/walkers will go into Florida at 9 a.m. and the 5k runners/walkers will head into Alabama at 9:30 a.m. To register, head on over to http://www.florabama.com!

You have plenty of time to train for the Mullet Man Triathlon, which will be held at the Flora-Bama Lounge & Oyster Bar on April 18, 2015. An awesome post-race celebration with food and fun will take place shortly after the race. The triathlon will consist of a half mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico, biking 17 miles on a paved four-lane highway, and a 4 mile run.
