Gulf-Shores-Smores-300x200If you need just a little “s’more” summer, there’s an event that is tailor made for you and your family this Thursday, Aug. 14 at the main public beach in Gulf Shores. The Back to School Beach Bash, hosted by the City of Gulf Shores, will begin at 6 p.m. In addition to family-friendly music and activities, there will be small beach bonfires and all the fixings for s’mores.

If you can’t make it to the beach, join us online from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and make some virtual s’mores at the #GSOBsmoresummer Twitter Party. Together with a fun team of homeschool and family travel bloggers, we will be talking back-to-school beach fun on the Alabama Gulf Coast. There will be trivia related to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach and prizes including beach gear like t-shirts, towels, visors and more. You don’t have to be present to win. Just tweet in and follow along with @Alabamabeaches on Twitter using the hashtag #GSOBsmoresummer. You can even make your own s’mores at home and tweet your photos to show us!
