The Annual National Shrimp Festival will be held in Gulf Shores Oct. 10-13, 2013.

Shrimp lovers from far and near will converge on Gulf Shores beginning Thursday, Oct. 10 for the 42nd National Shrimp Festival. More than 300,000 people are expected to stroll through the four-day festival.

Whether you’re looking for good eats or are on the hunt for a special piece of artwork, you’ll find it all at the annual festival. More than 200 booths will line the boardwalk of Gulf Shores Public Beach and will feature regional and local artisans sharing both fine art and arts and crafts.

Get ready to dance in the sand with more than 80 hours of live entertainment. Hear everything from blues to Motown to southern rock , country and jazz. And, we can’t forget the real star of the festival…shrimp! Get them boiled, fried, steamed and just about any other way you can imagine.
